We had a lovely time in the cosy cottage at Girra Vista. The kids and I enjoyed the comfy beds and views of the surrounding landscape and the hosts left a little care package for us, so spoilt. We spent time exploring the twin towns of Wallangara and Jennings with playgrounds for the kids and an old train station for the husband. The cottage made an excellent base for both Tenterfield and Stanthorpe since it sits somewhere in between the two. This meant that we got to adventure in both Girraween (Mount Norman day-use area is about 15 minutes away), and Bald Rock National Park (via Tenterfield). The town was quiet and we felt like we pretty much had the place to ourselves. It certainly was a great little getaway.
